Hurrah!!!! I am now officially certified by ServSafe in sanitation!!!!
Moving on.
Today we made bagels:
(cheese, poppy seed, black sesame seed, salt)
And pretzels!!
(and yes, I realize these look like a rather far cry from Auntie Anne's.)

As Chef came to my table for grading today, she looked at my pretzels.
Then at me.
Then at the pretzels.
Then back at me.
I told her that I had absolutely no idea what went wrong with them.
She said that the one at the bottom left looked good.
It would appear that my current career path does not lead towards soft pretzel making. I digress.
At least my pretzels didn't make it to the Sheet of Shame (at the end of the day, Chef chooses the worst of the worst to share with the rest of the class to educate us on what not to do).
Please note that there is also a Sheet of Success that my baked goods have yet to grace.... (ahem, Chef, if you are reading this).
Tomorrow: Mom's favorite: Brioche.
