Not too much to report from today. We made Brioche (which will be on our final on Friday):



And Baba / Savaran with this sugar-rum-orange and lemon peel-clove-anise-cinnamon stick syrup that NO ONE in class liked. But as Chef explained, we must be taught all the classics, and this is one of them. Pretty much the whole class donated their leftovers to Kimberly for her church group. I, for one, am hoping this gives me a free pass when I hit the pearly gates...

I'm off to do homework.
